Match Report Press Report

Trojans Vets 2 Lost to Nuffield Health Vets 2 in a close match.

With the home team having higher Gradings in 2 of the strings, the match was always going to be in their favour. The away team proved the statisticians wrong though by clinching a great win.

On paper, the number 1 string should have been the closest, with only 46 ranking points separating the two players before the match. The Away player, Geoff Lees, did well therefore to secure the win.

It was the number 1 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 55 Points ! Victory finally going to the Away Player, Geoff Lees.

Player of the tie was the Away No. 2 string, Karl Young, gaining 40 Ranking Points from the match.

Player of the match must be the Away number 2 string, Karl Young, who over-turned a 166 ranking points disadvantage to record a great win.

If the Away No. 3 player, Steve Ralphs, had not had to withdraw after 4 game(s) the result could have been closer.
