Match Report Press Report League Organiser Comments
Home team string 1 retired injured when, stationary, she was caught on the ankle by her opponent's trailing foot as he tried to get past to reach the ball. We agreed that we could not attribute blame to either side. Home and away teams agreed that that match should be a draw, but I do not know whether this is allowable, and would be grateful for the league organiser's ruling. In order to submit the results, I have entered this match as an Away team win.
Petersfield 4 Lost to Winchester 7 in a one-sided match.

With the away team having higher Gradings in 3 of the strings, Home advantage looked to be needed to take the win. The stats turned out to be correct, with a fine Away win.

It was the number 2 String which turned out to be the most competitive, with the Players battling out over a total of 68 Points ! Victory finally going to the Away Player, Christopher Liddell.

Player of the tie was the Away No. 3 string, Tom Corcoran, gaining 100 Ranking Points from the match.

If the Home No. 1 player, Sharmila McCartney, had not had to withdraw after 4 game(s) the result could have been closer.
Discussed with Petersfield. Although unfortunate, agreed result is correct as entered for a 'no blame' injury.
